Before using MetriX system for the first time it must be calibrated. It is recommended to verify the system at regular intervals. System verification ensures that the entire system can perform correct measurements at all times. The aim of the verification is to recalculate the position of the camera with respect to the measurement area.
We recommend the following time periods for regular calibration:
L230/L235 ceiling suspension - weekly
L230/L235 door construction - monthly
L630/L635 ceiling suspension - weekly
Start Verification
The verification is started by pressing F4 (Hint: Some keyboard models require you to press FN+F4) OR: If you have a barcode scanner attached to the system, you can also scan this barcode.
Performing a Verification
Follow the steps mentioned below:
- Position the calibration target under the system, ensuring that it is visible in both camera views (see number 1 and 2 in the image above).
The calibration target is either provided by Metrilus (for legal for trade systems) or a EUR pallet.
For L630 and L635 systems, please position the calibration target as described here. - Prior to initiating the calibration process, please ensure that the space surrounding the calibration target is completely cleared and that there are no individuals present in the measurement area, particularly those wearing reflective vests.
- To begin the calibration process, simply press the Enter key or select the "F4" button.
- If successful, press F4 another time or click the "Accept" button to finalize the process.
