What options do we have to set up the data export? How does the measured data get into our system?
Measuring your freight is only half the job. What happens to the data after the measurement?
We offer you two options as standard:
When is which data export option suitable?
- We recommend using the QR code if:
- you already use a barcode scanner that is directly connected to one of your systems
- only length, width, height, volume, weight and master data fields are required as measurement results
- no images are required
Your own contribution in this case:
A barcode scanner is available on your system or input screen.
- We recommend using the REST API if:
- The target program that receives the measured data can be adapted in its implementation to communicate with REST-API
- The target program that receives the measured data can be adapted in its implementation to communicate with REST-API
Your own contribution in this case:
Decision variant A Direct Reply or variant B Reply to backend, sending the trigger message, programming reception and processing of the determined data
The following special fields/functions are possible for both variants:
- Additional data fields
- Manual, subsequent adjustments to measurements
- Adding notes/annotations before sending
- Sending measurements at the touch of a button
The decision on IT integration chooses the route taken by the data, not its content. Please consult your MetriXFreight specialist in advance to determine the appropriate connection. More details on the two data export options can be found in the respective articles.
