Installation L230 / L235 Ceiling Version

This article covers the basic steps to assemble the ceiling version of a L230 or L235 system


The L23x hardware arrives fully assembled and ready for final installation. Please follow the steps below to complete the assembly process.


Part List:

  • 2 Truss Elements with pre-mounted cameras, computer and network equipment
  • 1 Screen, including truss mounting equipment

Step 1: Connection of truss elements


It is crucial to utilize the safety clips to secure the pins at all times.

  1. Ensure that both cameras are facing downwards for proper alignment.
  2. Connect and secure both truss elements using the provided equipment.

  5. For added stability, be sure to securely fasten the pins with the provided safety clip.connect_truss_3


Step 2: Connecting the Cameras to the Switch

Ensure all network cables are properly connected to the PoE switch.

There need to be four cables- one for the computer, one for the color camera, and two for the 3D cameras.

Step 3: Connection of LAN

Attention! Do NOT connect your LAN to the switch.

Connect the LAN cable from your network to the INTRANET port on the computer. 
In the picture below this means using the port on the left.

Part 4: Screen Assembly

    Optional: Attach your NSP Add-on Hardware

    If you purchased a NSP add-on, please go to this article to attach the necessary cameras.

    After you have attached the additional hardware, continue with part 5.


    Part 5: Final Steps and System Commissioning

    In order for Metrilus to complete the setup process and commissioning remotely, it is important that the system is connected to the Internet. Please ensure this step is completed before proceeding with the final setup.

    Once the hardware is properly mounted, the system can be suspended from the ceiling.

    To initialize the system, connect the power cable to a power outlet. The system will automatically startup.

    Once the system is operational, kindly inform Metrilus that the final setup can be executed. Contact your designated representative as soon as possible.
