It is recommended to verify the system at regular intervals. System verification ensures that the entire system can perform correct measurements at all times. The aim of the verification is to recalculate the position of the camera with respect to the measurement area.
Verification at the beginning of each shift is recommended. In any case, the verification must be renewed if the system has been physically changed, e.g. by shifting or unintentional violent impacts!
Start Verification
The verification is started by pressing F4 or by scanning barcode below. (Hint: Some keyboard models require you to press FN+F4). If you have a barcode scanner attached to the system, you can also scan this barcode.
Performing a Verification
The system opens the verification tool which shows the current camera image.
To verify MetriXFreight successfully, remove all items from the measurement area and its surrounding before starting the verification. If you use a precision scale, please also avoid even minor shocks or vibration during the verification as the scale is also zeroed during this process.
The verification is started by clicking the „Start“-button in the bottom right corner.
Verification should be completed in less than one minute. If the verification has been carried out successfully, the application shows a screen like this, see below.
Ending the verification
Once the verification has been successfully completed, the verification can be finished by clicking the “Accept”-Button in the bottom right.
